-The electrical cord loop should be below the electrical outlet to form s "DRIP LOOP" that can prevent the water from running down the cord and flowing into the electrical outlet .

Cautions
-Always disconnect from electrical outlet before handling the pump
-Do not let the pump run dry
-Do not lift the pump by the power cord
-The pump should be submersible completely
-The supply cord of this appliance can not be replaced . If the cord is damaged , the pump should be discarded
-Disconnect the appliance from power supply before putting the hands into water

Maintenance
To clean the pump , please remove the front plate and impeller. Use a small brush or stream of water to remove any debris or algaes

Caution :
If the pump fails to operate , check the following :
1) Check the circuit breaker and electrical outlet to ensure that the pump is connected to power supply 
2) Check the shaft and impeller of the rotor to make sure that they are not stopped or jammed by any debris or algaes
